Hot Tuesday

I know nothing about Utah but the bill introduced to give voting rights to the District of Columbia is long past due. I hope this does not end up tangled in the judicial system.

Woods and Jordon paired up at the Wachovia Championship in Charlotte.

There is a lot of discussion in the blogs I read about blogging burn-out, or need for new direction. I don’t have that problem because I never had a direction and don’t post enough to burn out.

I hope all the blogs I read routinely keep on blogging or I might have to give it up.

I am noticing a decrease in the quality of blogs in general. New blogs keep popping up every day. It seems the only reason they show up is to ask for links or to make money.

Someone needs to make these bloggers aware that first they have to have a good blog, something worth reading, second if you just started a blog please do not make lists of what people who blog should or should not do.

Find a few good reads or become a good read but do not email me and ask for links because I am not interested and if you are asking me for a link you are pretty desperate.

  1. I have noticed this “decrease” you speak of.

I think I did that in some ways. I mean, in the beginning, I tackled a fair amount of issues–now, those are done, for the most part.

Plus, there’s that, “How many people am I really helping with this blog entry right now?” question.

But know that I’m not giving up. I will always have opinions, which will be my downfall. Ha!

  2. You are the most underrated self-deprecating blogger–that’s a huge compliment

I asked somebody how he made $150 from his blog last week, because i sure couldn’t understand

I burn out at times, but then….and I look at blogging as a fun thing and a way to get myself known, frankly

I don’t enjoy issue blogging–but can’t help myself at times

Blogging taught me that i can write fiction. I’m holding out for the big prize, and blogging gives me an opportunity to practice or put in the stuff nobody would want to buy or let out all the stuff I wouldn’t want in a book

I find the increased emphasis on blogging as a purely social activity depressing because I don’t have the time, want or will to keep socializing on line–would rather do that face to face

Keep looking for a good writing group but I tend to be the writer, frankly, and only have the time etc., to mentor one person

I do hope to keep it to once a week through the summer because I have to focus on the book–and just rented a condo for most of June in Myrtle Beach so I can work undisturbed and go to the beach

Was too immersed in political blogging for too long. Took time away from my own goal

I blog for me, and hope that people enjoy it. If i fall sometimes, there’s always tomorrow…
